Sandra Torres Granovsky’s journey as a storyteller began in childhood through acting, where she developed a keen sense of performance, timing, and human behavior. She continued acting until leaving for UC Berkeley, where she explored her curiosity about people and the human experience through Film Theory and Anthropology - an intellectual foundation that informs her editorial instincts. 


With a diverse portfolio spanning studio blockbusters, indie films, documentaries, and television, Sandra is a seasoned editor known for precision and deep storytelling insight. Her credits include Iron Man, Zathura, Elf, Alpha (Studio 8/Columbia Pictures), The Opening Act (Wild West Picture Show), and Scrambled (Lionsgate/SXSW). She has also edited television, including Promised Land (ABC), and documentaries like Dear Kelly (Channel 5), collaborating with filmmakers such as Jon Favreau, Andrew Callaghan, Leah McKendrick, and Albert Hughes.


A dedicated mentor and advocate for women and underrepresented voices in film, Sandra serves on juries including the Children and Family Emmys and Women in Film’s Artisan and Crew Fellowship. Fluent in English and Spanish, her multicultural perspective brings authenticity and heart to every project.
